Join us for a fun filled day of scrapbooking!
Come and gather with other scrapbookers to help find a cure, great fellowship and get some scrappin' done! All proceeds will go to American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

According to the IRS, 75% of taxpayers will receive a refund this year. For many, a tax refund can be tempting to use to purchase a luxury item such as a new car or a big screen TV. Before you spend your tax refund on a big-ticket item, think about your current financial situation. Do you need to save for retirement or education? What is a wise long-term investment for your money? If you are getting a refund this year, consider putting the money to work for your future instead of spending the money now. Here are a few options you could choose to put that tax refund to work:
- Retirement Savings* - Most Americans can expect retirement to last 20 years. Are you ready? Use your refund to establish an IRA account or add to an existing retirement account.
- College Funding* - While the cost of college continues to increase, the importance of an education remains the same. Saving for your child's or grandchild's education now can help lessen the amount of loans and debt your graduate will face. Coverdell Education Savings Accounts and 529 education plans offer benefits to the future student and the contributor.
- Emergency Fund* - Saving money can be difficult, but do you have three to six months of expenses saved in case of an emergency? Use your refund to build an emergency fund to help you with an unplanned event like a job loss or sudden illness.
- Future Purchase or Vacation Fund* - Not all investing has to be long-term. If in the next few years you are planning a large purchase or lengthy vacation, your 2005 refund can help you begin to save.
