Benefit Chili Dinner for Kyle Catalano
Wanatah, IN--The friends and family of Kyle Catalano (age 12) are planning a benefit chili dinner to help with Kyle’s ongoing medical expenses. Kyle is a 6th grader at Wanatah School who was severely injured in a tragic accident in November leaving him incapacitated. The chili benefit will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007 at Wanatah School from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Tickets are $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for children ages 4 to 10 and ages 3 and under are free.
Kyle is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Brent and Corey (Swanson) King and Mike Catalano. He enjoys sports of all kinds and is active in the Chicago Street Theatre, 4-H and attends church in Kouts.
Tickets are available at Wanatah School, at the J-MARt bp Shop in Wanatah and at the door. Proceeds will be used to help defray ongoing medical expenses. Expenses to the family have been overwhelming as Kyle fights for his life. Any donation is appreciated and may be made at any First National Bank location.

Snow Caps
2 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon flavoring (vanilla, mint, etc)
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts
Beat eggs, cream of tartar and flavoring to soft peaks, then gradually add in sugar and beat to stiff peaks.
Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
Preheat over to 375° F for 15 minutes. Put in cookies dropped by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Turn oven OFF. Let set overnight.
