School is out and it is graduation time. Visit the "Favorite Links" page at www.theJ-MARt.com to link to area schools to find out the last day of school and graduation times.

Wanatah's Town-wide Garage Sales this year are June 9, 10 from 8-4 and June 11 from 10-2. Head to Wanatah as residents open their garages and yards for a bargain-hunters delight. Local restaurants and shops are also open and food venders and portable restroom facilities are scattered throughout the town. Free parking.

LaPorte County Relay for Life offers something for everyone, from the newly diagnosed, to caregivers and friends, to long-term survivors. LaPorte County Relay will be held on June 16th & 17th at the LaPorte Fairgrounds.

Relay For Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. More than 20 years ago, one man took it upon himself to raise money to support the efforts of the American Cancer Society. Today, more than three million Americans participate in Relay events nationwide.

This is the fourth year that J-MARt bp owners will be involved in the LaPorte County Relay for Life. Last year, we spearheaded the Relay Team that raised the most money for the ACS in LaPorte County (over $10,400). Now you can "buy" a "foot" on the J-MARt wall for a $1 donation. Feet will be displayed thru June 17th. We also have canisters for your change and check donations. Make checks payable to: American Cancer Society and drop off at any J-MARt bp. Thank you for your support.
