Think Spring! Think Daffodils-the flower of HOPE!

One of the many Community Projects that the J-MARt bp family takes part in is the American Cancer Society Daffodil Days. We have been a proud sponsor of this event for more than a dozen years. Daffodils will arrive on Thursday, March 16.

The winter chill may still be in the air, so to help you out of those winter humdrums think Yellow, Daffodil Yellow Bring the scent of spring and the Flower of Hope into your business or home. Brighten a friend or loved one's day with a fresh bouquet of flowers, and help the American Cancer Society move closer to its ultimate goal-to eliminate cancer. All proceeds from Daffodil Days benefit the American Cancer Society's four pillars; Research, Education, Advocacy and Patient Service programs.

Flowers may be picked up at any J-MARt bp Shop on Thursday, March 16.

To guarantee your flowers will be ready on March 16, 2006, be sure to fax the order form that follows no later than March 9, 2006 to 574-257-9790. Order forms may also be dropped off prior to March 9 at any J-MARt bp Shop.

5 Tips to Reduce Your Cost of Gasoline

We, at J-MARt bp, realize the cost of gasoline is high. We are more upset by this than you. We must look at the positives and remember that the United States has enjoyed using gasoline at a more inexpensive price than the rest of the civilized countries of the world for many years. It has been in excess of $5.00 per gallon in most of Europe for several years. Also, gas is not at an all time high when measured by inflation. We've put together a list of 5 Tips to Reduce Your Cost of Gasoline. These will help you to lower your costs. The price of gasoline, much like the weather, is an often talked about subject. Just as in the case of weather, simply complaining does nothing to help ease the pain. These 5 simple tips can be as easy as watering your lawn in the lack of rain or adjusting the thermostat when the indoor temperature doesn't suit you. Thank you for being a J-MARt customer and for adjusting to the fluctuations in gas prices.

  1. Use a bp Visa. With bp Visa, you'll receive a 3% rebate in the form of a bp prepaid gascard every time your rebate reaches $20. If the price per gallon is $2.699, the price from using the bp Visa card is $2.618. For the first two billing cycles of your new bp Visa card, your rewards will be doubled and you'll earn 6% in rebates. At $2.99 gasoline, your savings for the first two billing cycles will be approximately 18¢ per gallon!

  2. Join our Customer Loyalty Program Kickback J-MARt bp Shops are grateful for your business. To show our appreciation to our loyal customers, we give 1% back in the form of Kickback Points on all purchases. Points can be redeemed at any participating merchant at any time.

  3. Maintain vehicles in ways that save on gas: Keep tires at the proper pressure (check monthly); change fuel filter and air filter as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer; have vehicles regularly tuned up; and keep the front wheels of vehicles in proper alignment.

  4. Try a tankfull of Amoco Ultimate. Through regular use of Amoco Ultimate you can experience a 64% reduction of intake valve deposits and an average 41% reduction in hesitation during acceleration.

  5. Alter your driving habits. Don't speed to get more miles per gallon, avoid jerky driving or rapid acceleration, use cruise control when possible, combine trips; carpool, avoid unnecessary errand running, don't let the car idle and don't overfill the gas tank.
