Stop by our Wanatah or Westville location and bring the scent of spring and the Flower of Hope into your business or home. Brighten a friend or loved one's day with a fresh bouquet of flowers and help the American Cancer Society move closer to its ultimate goal - to eliminate cancer. All proceeds from Daffodil Days benefit the American Cancer Society's four pillars; Research, Education, Advocacy and Patient Service programs.

Change Your Clocks

The United States and Canada will “spring forward” three weeks earlier this year, when Daylight Saving Time begins on March 11. While the legislation mandating this change was designed to save heating oil and allow extra sunlight, businesses and people may experience some unexpected problems beyond showing up late for Sunday morning appointments.

Some computers and other electronic devices—particularly older models—may not automatically update to the correct time, leading to problems ranging from missed meetings to billing errors and improperly coordinated airline schedules.

Here are some tips to help the change go more smoothly for your electronic devices:

  1. Enable automatic update options so software patches for the Daylight Saving Time adjustment can be automatically downloaded and installed.
  2. Schedule a reminder for March 11 on electronic calendars to verify that dates and times reflect the early Daylight Saving Time.
  3. Check the time stamp of incoming e-mail messages against the device’s clock to ensure that they match. If they do not, notify senders that their devices may not have adjusted for the time change.
  4. Back up programs and data before March 11.
